Celebrity lookalikes

February 28, 2009

Apart from my friend Gina, who resembles child superstar Dakota Fanning (much to my delight and her chagrin), I don’t have many friends that look like famous people.  I prefer to cut out the middle man and just have famous people as friends.  Like Rhonda Burchmore.  I have her number.  But I don’t have her gams.

Those long, long gams.

I spent many of my teenage years though, wishing that I DID look like someone famous.  No one in particular, it just would’ve been nice if someone came up to me and said something like, “WOW, has anyone ever told you how much you look like that girl from Titanic?!”  But no one ever did.  The only time anyone ever commented on me being a celebrity lookalike was when I was about 16.  Mum and I were watching TV and out of the blue she said “you really look like her.”

The show we were watching was To The Manor Born.

The actress she was talking about:

Penelope Keith.

No wonder everyone was so lovely to me when I was hanging out at Hampstead Heath in 2005!

If anyone hears about any Penelope Keith parties happening, let them know that you have a celebrity lookalike who’s primed and ready to go.  I might just need to go buy a lavender scarf.  But with a bit of notice I should be able to manage “the shops.”
